The Inception of Time
People say the universe began with a big bang, and most say it was the beginning of time. However, time is invisible, like a thought. Time can’t be seen or measured, yet we say thoughts are things, so what kind of thing is “time”?
Let me enlighten you before you say clocks show the time and measure time. Clocks show numbers, and we translate the numbers into the time. Time is a concept we use to keep track of our daily events and activities.
Our modern society uses clocks to tell people when things happen when something happened or will happen. Clocks tell us what to do and when to do it.
How do Clocks Tell you What to Do?
The word “when?” is a question that a clock answers. A clock can be a watch, and the word “watch” tells you what to do with it. You look at it. You will be late for your appointment if you forget to glance at your watch.
During the last twenty years or more, we could use a phone to tell us “when” to do things. If you contemplate how clocks work, you may realize that time only exists in your mind and your experiences.
Imagine you are walking in a forest when a flash of light happens. Many events happen before your brain cells “see” the light. The flash of light enters your eyes, and the sensory neurons start processing the sensation of light.
The information goes to the brain for processing. Meanwhile, your body is shining infrared light simultaneously during these events.
The Universe is moving at light speed and light enters your eyes as a person looks at you. While your eyes process the flash of light, a bullet is moving. Light and motion move toward the future, and a bullet hits you.
The light from the gunshot is reaching the moon while you slowly fall. We experience life in slow motion, as light and the Universe move at light speed. The future arrives at the same speed as the motion of the Universe. The past, present, and future moments happen simultaneously at the speed of light.
Meanwhile, you fall to the ground by the acceleration of gravity, and the Universe continues moving at the speed of light. The slow-motion description of events reminds me of Leonardo Decaprio in the movie Inception. Remember the scene where the van falls slowly from the bridge? A lifetime exists in a moment.
Does Time Travel Exist
Using time as a means of travel is impossible because you can’t leave the present moment of the Universe. You will always be at the exact moment of your beating heart and the absolute age of the Universe. You can’t travel to a different period of history while the rest of the Universe stays in the present moment.
The Universe moves at the speed of light to the future. Past motion doesn’t exist, and future motion hasn’t started. Time is derived from the force causing the motion of Earth, but motion can’t move backward to the past or forward faster than the universe expands.
Clocks, however, are instruments that tick faster or slower in different environments. Time comes from the action of motion that moves the Universe.
Time is a concept that lets us keep track of our daily actions, but time doesn’t cause actions.
Time is a mathematical construct calculated from the constant motion of the Earth.
Thus, time isn’t a reality by itself; it only seems to move because the numbers on clocks move. We have been misled by time.
Time in the Universe is absolute and moves at the speed of light, but time doesn’t cause the motion. However, we can dream of the past and imagine time travel.
Thanks for following my newsletter at https://lovinthings.com/. My book UFOs and Spaceships of the Gods describes time and the universe in full.
I'm grateful to see you here as we contemplate the meaning of the universe. xoxo
